TheBlogDog.net: Diets for your Pets?

Diets for your Pets?

What works for 'us' also will work for your dogs or cats. Move more - eat less! Makes total sense to me - now just put it into motion! This video has a good perspective on the new 'pet diets' that are now on the store shelves.

Something to think about.

Lyn, thanks for the excellent post.  Our dogs have had occasional weight increases, and we were always able to bring the weight down with portion control.  When we had 2-3 dogs, they were always fed the same food, with the overweight dog getting less quantity and either green beans or canned pumpkin added to make up the volume.

Green beans are the BEST way to help your pet feel happy, less hungry and lose weight. I have a zip lock of fresh steamed green beans in the fridge right now. I feed them as treats all the time. I stay away from canned because of sodium. Frozen ones are a great treat too, especially in the warmer months. They love the frozen crunch.
